When you think of superheroes, you rarely think of teenage girls taking on corrupt officials that exist within the framework of our society. However, Pakistan’s newest superhero is everything youngsters can be in awe of.

Meet Pakistan Girl.

When she’s not kicking ass, she’s her normal teenage self – Sarah.

The comic series revolves around Sarah who has her pet cat as her constant companion.

She realizes she has superpowers after she wakes up from a coma, following a blast in her village.

Created by author, Hassan Siddiqui, the English-language comic aims to inspire young boys and girls to fight the injustices that exist within our society

Moreover, artist Ali Hyder breathed life into the character through his brilliant handiwork.

According to Express Tribune, Hassan talked about how there has long been a shortage of female role models and superheroes. Pakistan Girl will serve as that role model.

Regardless, the comic series, launched on August 22, 2017, strongly pushes forward the concept of gender equality.

In a society that has corruption embedded within the framework of society, this comic series is extremely essential. Moreover, in a country where women are still finding their place, PakistanGirl seems like a great way to help women pave their path towards equality. Major props to the entire team for such a wonderful concept.
