The latest NESCAFÉ Basement episode has come out and with it, comes a gift that keeps on giving: CUTE, ADORABLE KIDS WHO HAPPEN TO BE EXTREEEEEEMELY TALENTED.

The song takes off with a two minute piano solo by a very gifted pianist Jerry Chris who keeps his cool and builds up the tempo

At this point you’re not really sure what the rest of the song will look like.

He is then joined by a squad of little people – cue violins, guitars, drums, tabla and the full treatment.

This includes Sinan, the young drummer from “Mehbooba”

And a new comer Samiya who kept nailing all the classical ‘raags’

But my favorite cameo was perhaps this six year old angel with the voice of a nightingale:

The song is such a beautiful coming together of kids from seemingly different backgrounds, singing styles and instruments, vocal ranges and genres but brought together by a common interest in making music.

Using the old version of the song as a canvas, the Basement kids built upon it to further to strengthen this beautiful message with addition of their own voice and playing with new melodies and lyrics.

People are as impressed as we are with the whole singing squad:

There were folks who kept talking about how useless they thought they used to be when they were kids

(I felt that, tbh)

And, basically:

Keeping things interesting with each passing episode seems to come effortlessly to NESCAFÉ Basement, it seems. But this season in particular has set out to showcase how musically gifted we are on grass root level. Which is why it is almost fitting that kids are part of the season, many of which were not from ‘gharanas’ didn’t receive any formal training. Much like Hadiya, the kids have had a passion that they simply needed to explore. And the platform is known for bringing such raw potential to the forefront.

Here’s the full list of all the young artists that were part of the song:

What did you think about the new song? Is it a hit or a miss? Are you as impressed as we were with the song and the younglings? What is your favorite NESCAFÉ Basement song so far? Let us know in the comments section below.
