Recently, The Dependent, a Pakistani publication, published a satire piece on the Corona situation. It literally stated that the piece was satirical. This is important to remember. The article stated that PM Imran Khan announced in a press conference regarding Coronavirus that they had successfully managed to flatten the curve.

He credited the government’s smart lockdown policy for this successful management. Only when Saleem Kheshgi whispered in his ear, PM Imran Khan realized that he had been holding the chart upside down for the entire time. Again – satirical. Funny.

But an  Indian journalist, Aarti Tikoo Singh, went on to publish this story on an Indian publication

I mean, who can ignore the big and bold ”SATIRE” written on The Dependent’s story?

You can even have a closer look

She actually narrated the entire story very seriously…Matlab, kya yaar?

People naturally trolled the Indian media for this

They absolutely loved this error

The Dependent also responded to this hilarious blunder

2020, man. It’s been weird. But it made us all laugh, so there’s that. Here’s to more of these eff ups!
