Shaadis are the best party in Pakistan
Even though it’s a couple months away but if you even slightly as obsessed with wedding season as we are, you know you’re already thinking about chilly nights under the skies, dancing all night and celebrating the love of your loved ones… or that of your favorite khaala ki dewraani ke damaad ki behn.
SO, without further ado and if you CANNOT wait for wedding season, here are some of the things you probably cannot get off of your mind about wedding season.

5. Display pics for days
If you didn’t Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook Live and Skype the entire wedding, were you even there?
6. Poondi
Shaadi season is basically just scrolling through your Instagram feed in real life. Best.
7. Shaadi ka khaana
Okay this is possibly the one reason everyone HAS to go to a shaadi. One dish or not, hayeee pulao, biryaani, bbq and korma?! Uff, too good.
8. Mehndi
All the beautiful designs, colors and of course, the one friend that accidentally falls asleep with it on her face. (Me)
9. Joota chupai
Hehe, stealing and getting money for it? LOVE WEDDINGS.
10. Dressing like kings and queens in all the jewelry, because you can’t do that otherwise
All the jewels, all the teekas, the rings, maharani vibes only please.
11. Kashmiri chai is the best only at winter shaadis, I tell you
Kashmiri chai with a shawl in a thandi shaadi tent with all your friends? Yes please.
12. The live qawaali sessions and getting to catch up on all the fun dancy desi music
Shaadis have recently started having qawalis and there is nothing better than jamming out to the sounds of Rahat and Nusrat in the middle of the night with your loved ones.
13. Making suhaag raat jokes and making the bride and groom feel awk
Sohag raaaaaaaaaaat jokes never get old. I don’t care how old you are – making the bride and groom blush till they are red as tomatoes is basically a law.
14. Hoping that you run into someone “special” for yourself
After all they say, rishtay aasmaano aur shaadiyon pe bantay hain.
