Two of our most well-known cricketers, Umar Gul and Ahmed Shehzad are in the news for all the wrong reasons. The two had a bit of a physical altercation with some fans after their match in ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

A video recently surfaced on social media that shows Umar Gul and Ahmed Shehzad beating up a fan outside Sialkot Stadium

The fan had reportedly approached the players to take a selfie when he received the beating from the cricketers

According to Dunya News, the fan asking for a selfie had infuriated the players who were on the way to their hotel after losing the game. Ahmed Shehzad had pushed the fan after which Umar Gul also got involved in the scuffle. It is said that Ahmed Shehzad snatched the fan’s mobile phone and threw it away. While also telling the fan that this was not the best time to get a selfie with him.

This is not the first time Ahmad Shehzad has been involved in such a behavior-related tussle. Just last year he was fined Rs 20,000 by the PCB for misbehaving with the Umpire.

This incident has left fans divided on the issue, with some quick to judge the player’s on their actions

According to some sources, both players were physically provoked by the fans for not taking a selfie so maybe there is more to the story than has come. Let’s just hope the matter is investigated and such incidents don’t take place in future.
