And it’s not exactly the light refreshing baarish we were all hoping for. In fact, the rain has been coming down SO heavy, that it has caused some major damage to Lahore’s infrastructure. Like, MAJOR.
Thanks to the heavy rainfall, there is now a GIANT HOLE in the middle of Mall Road.
YUP.
The rain has officially revealed a massive sinkhole on Mall road in front of the General Post Office in Lahore.
Sinkholes are massive cavities in the ground found due to water erosion, allowing surface water to find it’s way underground. If gone unnoticed, they can be very dangerous especially in hugely populated cities like Lahore.
The hole is so big, that people are naming it ‘Niagra Falls.’
In our first official barsaat baarish, it seems as if the rain has been much more dangerous than pleasant.
People are stuck either at home or in the streets due to the heavy flooding and it seems to be getting worse and worse.
Suffice to say, it’s drowning the city of Lahore.
