We all know and love Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas. Not only have they blown our minds on-screen, but these two individuals also collectively broke hearts, left people shook, and had everyone wiping away happy tears by getting married in a low-key surprise wedding ceremony after the Billboard Music Awards last month.
How did we all know this? BecauseĀ apne DiploĀ bhai live-streamed the whole thing on Instagram.
What would have been a cutesy little Elvis-officiated affair between friends and family soon became the biggest piece of news to break that day, setting social media ablaze across the globe.
In all of this, we all kinda forgot that at no point did Sophie or Joe officially give anyone permission to live-stream their wedding. Maybe it was low-key for a reason, right? And they’d been pretty mum about the whole thing too after the wedding, too.
However, Sophie shared how she felt about her wedding being live-streamed in an interview with Net-A-Porter:
“I donāt know if I feel like a wife yet. I donāt know how I feel. I mean, I feel good, obviously. But it happened so recently that Iām just kind of floating at the moment.Ā But itās tricky when people livestream it.”
“It would have been better if no one had known, but I actually think it was funny.”
She went on to state the following:
“I think at some point I would have had to stop saying āfiancĆ©ā, but yes, I would have kept it a secret. Marriage is a private thing between two people and I think thatās how it should always be.”
Joe Jonas, too, called out Diplo jokingly on ‘Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp.’ He stated the following:
“Yeah, he ruined it. I love Diplo. But he loves his āgram more than a 13-year-old. He posts every five seconds. He literally live-streamed with dog face filters.ā
Joe’s got a point, can’t disagree.
Diplo responded to Joe’s comments, too. He uploaded a photo on Instagram, captioning it, “The only thing that āruinedā the wedding was your fit.”
I mean, I don’t know, maybe Joe and Diplo are chill and all, but Sophie doesn’t sound too happy. Anyone would be upset if a private, intimate moment or celebration was broadcasted for the world to see. What do you guys think about this? Let us know in the comments.
