Okay so, we all know Sham Idrees. He likes to prank people.

Like, a lot.

In fact Sham’s primary vlog style seems to be focused completely around pranking everyone he knows in random ways that are truly not even funny and most of the time are so heavily obvious that the cringe factor is just OFF the charts.

So believe you me, his latest video seemed like an absolute joke. Deepika!? Padukone!?Deepika Padukone!?! Yeah ok SHAM. But lo and behold…

Sham Idrees ACTUALLY got Dips on the phone in his latest video.

Also it seems that Sham is truly wingman of the year because the only reason he called her was so that his friend or cousin (?) could tell her that he had a crush on her.

And he actually did,

AND SHE RESPONDED.

It was pretty cute and Dips sounded as charming and cheeky as we all imagined her to be and according to Sham, this was his third phone call to her that day! Honestly that’s a little desperate and we don’t know why she hasn’t blocked him yet but whatever…

So though it was sweet and pretty cool seeing Dips on the phone, it honestly just seemed way too good to be true.

Like, let’s face some facts, people. Sham pranks people. That is his thing. And fine, even if we can get around to the fact that he may actually have Dips’ phone number, the whole conversation seemed so off base.

First off, some of the things she was saying didn’t even make any sense. There was no introduction, he just started yelling out her name as soon as she picked up. Shady moment number one.

And THEN! ‘It’s so beautiful’ was her reaction to Sham asking her about fans who have a crush on her? Weeeeeiiiird. The conversation almost seemed pieced together by other interviews she had given prior so that it would match the conversation Sham was having in the first place.

First of all, that is an outdated image. Second of all, just ugh no he definitely just does not have her number. THIS IS DEEPIKA PADUKONE. Like we would believe him having Priyanka Chopra’s number waaaaay before Dips.

Now to all Deepika fans out there, we know we may be grasping for straws out here to prove that this call was fake but COME ON MAN, SHAM!?

There has to be a joke involved here somewhere.

The rest of the video featured the rest of the usual gang hanging out and literally it just seems like they made the whole video just to show Sham has Deepika’s number. So, like, okay.
