Shahid Afridi has stirred up A LOT of controversies with his recently released book. His bold opinions written in the book have brought the former captain the wrath of certain sections of the audience. His latest revelation related to his daughters has been criticized by many.
So basically, Shahid Afridi has been slammed for his chauvinist remarks where he said that his daughters are forbidden from playing cricket
He said that he has not allowed his daughters to play ANY kind of sports. He mentioned that he’s proud to be a conservative father. He also said that he has taken the social and religious factors into consideration before taking this decision.
In his book he wrote, “Ajwa and Asmara are the youngest and love to play dress-up. They have my permission to play any sport, as long as they’re indoors. Cricket? No, not for my girls. They have permission to play all the indoor games they want, but my daughters are not going to be competing in public sporting activities.”
He didn’t forget to shade feminists by saying, about his decision to net his daughters play cricket,“[t]he feminists can say whatever they want about my decision”.
Afridi has stated that his daughters are really good at sports but he would not want them to play publicly
He also said that it’s his own decision and the opinions and views of feminists cannot impact his perspective.

They went on to say that Afridi himself does advertisements involving daughters of others but he’s being hypocritical in not allowing his own daughters to have this freedom
