Mahira Khan is at Cannes these days, representing makeup brand L’Oréal for Pakistan, and making us all incredibly proud. While it’s common knowledge that the actress isn’t there representing a film, just as her Indian counterparts Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai and Sonam Kapoor (also having been ambassadors for L’Oréal), some people seem to be very uneducated in the entire matter; in particular actor Shaan.
Mahira Khan has yet to make her red carpet appearance but has been slaying so far at Cannes, as BRAND AMBASSADOR OF L’ORÉAL PAKISTAN (in case Shaan is reading this)
Shaan took to his social media and posted this question regarding why the actress was present when she had no film to showcase
Cannes is indeed a film festival, and while the premise is a showcase of selected films, the festival has long been associated with fashion, where celebrities set fire to the red carpet wearing A-lister designers. L’Oréal has long been the official partner of the film festival and has sent numerous brand ambassadors from across the world to represent it.
So Shaan, that’s why she’s there…..
