Well, February is here again and we all know what that means right? It’s cricket time. I have never waited for 14th February like this before because PSL will start off this season with Islamabad taking on Lahore after live performances from the likes of Pitbull, Junoon and many more. Each PSL edition brings its own charm and memories and some free tickets (more on that, later)
This particular PSL season is promising the same, so let’s talk about all the things we have to look forward to:
1. More matches at home.
8 matches will be played in Pakistan and the final’s going to be in Karachi. Jisske liye sunnay mein aaya hai ke ChenOne free tickets bhi de raha hai. (scroll down)
2. Danny Morrison’s antics.
This is a joy to watch. Sometimes he’s doing the bhangra and sometimes he’s just running around screaming like a kid. Whatever he’s doing he seems to be having a lot of fun and so do we. Pakistan loves you, Danny!
4. Those epic celebrations
Either it’s Hassan Ali spreading his metaphorical wings or our West Indians doing their dance. You have to admit a lot of these celebrations are like WWE entrances – just full of life and entertainment. It’s truly special.
5. This edition will have a new team: Multan Sultans.
More teams matlab more stars and more matches. AND, more representation. I bet the people in Multan couldn’t handle the excitement when they heard about this news.
6. Fawad Rana sahib’s dramatic contributions.
You don’t even need to be a Lahore Qalandars fan to love this man. He might be the only person in PSL to have zero haters.
7. Ramiz Raja’s epic double meaning commentary.
A cricket match doesn’t feel like a cricket match unless this man’s voice is narrating. We love you, Rameez. Keep the magic alive.
8. Legends like Wasim Akram and Sir Vivian Richards.
PSL has such wonderful characters interacting and bringing us entertainment on and off the field. The best part is how well they all compliment each other.
9. Let’s not forget the memes we all get.
Memes are a part of Pakistan’s culture now. One day, I’m going to show my kids the memes of my time when they watch PSL’s 20th edition with me.
10. Witnessing new talent.
I think it’s safe to say that PSL has improved the quality of new talent coming into the international side. Let’s see what new heroes emerge from this edition.
11. The banter and trolling between fans.
Honestly, you have to love and miss the banter. I think it brings us all a little closer to one another for a brief moment and its beautiful.
LOVE PSL? We’ve got a SURPRISE FOR YOU
