Since the advent of Naya Pakistan, PM Imran Khan has been getting several congratulatory calls and messages from prominent people and leaders all over the world.
British Prime Minister Theresa May was one such individual.
Pleased to talk to @ImranKhanPTI, Prime Minister of Pakistan. The UK and Pakistan share deep and important links. There is plenty for our two countries to work together on, not least increasing bilateral trade and mutual security issues.
— Theresa May (@theresa_may) August 18, 2018
Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena also congratulated Imran Khan and was confident that Khan’s leadership would help “steer Pakistan towards peace, prosperity, and sustainability.”
Congratulations, @ImranKhanPTI on your election to office of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. I am confident that your leadership will help steer Pakistan towards peace, prosperity and sustainability, as relations between our two countries grow further.

Other than that Canadian prime minister Justin Treadeu, Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, and several others congratulated Imran Khan on his victory.
Recently, Imran Khan apparently received a call from the French president – Emmanuel Macron – which he did not answer due to his pressing official engagements.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and the foreign office team were present when the call was received from the French president’s office, but Prime Minister Imran Khan told the team that he was busy and can’t talk.
The meeting was held with TV anchors and senior journalists.
In his recent tweet, Hamid Mir, who was present then, also stated that Imran Khan did not attend the call.
New Pakistan.French President @EmmanuelMacron called Prime Minister of Pakistan @ImranKhanPTI today but he was busy in a meeting with journalists including me Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua wanted PM to attend the call but PM said I am busy here tell them to call in 30 minutes

People were quick to respond to this little incident.
Imran Khan refusing to take Emmanuel Macron's phone is an anecdote youthias can tell their grand kids. Some day.

#Priority and protocol definitely should have been to excuse the meeting and attend the call from the Head of State #President of #France @EmmanuelMacron.

It was a fake account created by someone but umm.. people actually started believing it.

Thanks for understanding . We have some paid tout type journalist like Mr Hamid Mir @HamidMirPAK @mubasherlucman who loves to create misunderstandings and get benefit from their bosses. Imran Khan is great hope for us and we will support him all the way to get Pakistan moving .

Waiting for the PM to reply to the fake account.

Some did figure out that it was a fake account
You know that thing about malnutrition and stunted brains? Proof is in the replies to this obviously fake account's tweets. We have a serious problem here. https://t.co/BSaLIhpP2X

And after that, they started putting their blame elsewhere.
I can’t believe I got duped. PTI social media team should be ashamed of themselves for making up fake accounts. I suppose this is how the country is going to be run. https://t.co/NgiYmLcuMC

Legit
Someone now needs to make a fake Imran Khan twitter account to have a conversation with the fake Emmanuel Macron twitter account.
— Bina Shah (@BinaShah) September 1, 2018
And soon enough, “Imran Khan” replied to “Emmanuel”. Doesn’t get any more hilarious than this

This whole little incident has been taken too far – and some people are worried about the bad reputation Pakistan will get from it.
This information should not be twitted. Sounds disrespectful towards France.
