13 Things That Should Actually Be Banned In Pakistan Instead Of Doraemon

By Momina Mindeel | 31 Dec, 2017

As most of you already know by now, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf urged the Punjab Assembly on Friday, yet again, demanding a ban to be put on the Japanese cartoon seriesĀ Doraemon. The resolution was based on the arguments that the show features some explicit content that is not appropriate for the mental growth of the children.

Unfortunately, we, as a country, have grown so insecure that a cartoon series apparently need to be banned just because we cannot provide a better living environment for our children, on the whole. Out of all the monstrosities that have plagued Pakistan for the past 70 years, this is the only one our politicians could see. This happened last year, in August, as well and sadly nothing much has changed.

We, therefore, have prepared a list of all the things that should actually be banned in Pakistan, other than Doraemon.

1.Ā Sexist comments and people.

So our analysts/columnists/writers spreading misogyny openly (who, by the way, our kids see all day, every day on every TV channel) does not concern you, at all?

2. The misogyny laced fatwas that have nothing to do with Islam

Let us all beat our wives lightly because that is so not going to affect our kids negatively, at all.

Watching innocent disfigured faces on their TV screens everyday, does not affect our kids’ mental growth, you know.
