A Pakistani fan meeting Rishi Kapoor and having a beautiful encounter

Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor have got to be one of the most iconic power couples from Bollywood. We’ve been seeing them around for as long as some of us were were wee little kids. And turns out, they’re actually a really sweet bunch to hang out with

This Pakistani fan met Rishi Kapoor at an airport and it was the most cute memory one can have of the actor

Mubashir Malik, an investment banker and author from London has always been out and about meeting celebrities from both sides of the Pakistani-India border.

Mubashir’s job is such that he has to travel all over the world, and during one such journey, he was sat in the lounge of Virgin Atlantic and he came across Rishi Kapoor

The story that followed was quite a funny one. Mubashir was reading a newspaper, and someone sat next to him and ordered a drink. While his voice was oddly familiar, he ignored it. It was only when the man was on the phone and actually said ‘Mein Rishi Kapoor bol raha houn’, did Mubashir realize who was sitting next to him. He immediately walked up to him, being a huge fan, and that’s how he started the conversation. It was at this point that Rishi Kapoor was walking away but he stopped to talk to Mubashir.

The conversation that ensued from there on varied from politics to history and Pakistan-India relations

What started off as a 10-minute conversation lasted for over an hour. They spoke about the political conditions between the two countries and how Rishi Kapoor has always wanted to visit Pakistan – the country where his parents were born, and where his family actually started. They spoke about the books that they had written. And that Nawaz Sharif had invited Rishi ji to come to Pakistan but the security situation was such that the plan never materialized.

Amidst all of this, obvious shaadi talk came in the picture – we mean, obviously, you have a desi dad and an unmarried young man sitting together, shaadi ki baat nahi ho gi tau aur kis ki ho gi?

Rishi also said that he was trying to so hard to convince his son, Ranbir Kapoor, to get married but he has been avoiding the conversation. Mubashir was baffled because obviously Ranbir ko larkiyoun ki kammi thori na hai. But still, Rishi tried his best, asking him what kind of girl he wants. He gave Mubashir his number, his secretary’s number, his email address and basically all possible contacts.

Like any Pakistani would have, Mubashir brought up Rishi’s ‘loving’ tweets towards Pakistan

Rishi ji said that he loves to teeli lagao. And he used to tweet out of fun, without realizing that matters would get out of hand.

Things became even more interesting when he took him to meet his wife, the lovely Neetu Singh

Who was absolutely baffled as to why Mubashir is not working in Bollywood. This took another 30 minutes, and 5 last calls for his flight. And lo and behold! the rishta topic came up again. As did his mum. And the fact that they have been trying to get him married.

And that’s when Neetu and Rishi said they wanted to send a message to Mubashir’s mum

The message that they recorded was ABSOLUTELY adorable! Turns out that the couple is extremely down to earth, humble and exceptionally warm to talk to. The message included Mubashir ki shaadi ki baatein, and whole lot of love.

Neetu Singh also took to the camera to speak to his mum

In spite of pressure from Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor, Mubashir has no plans of getting into Bollywood because he’s swamped with his own work

Rishi Kapoor was extremely jealous of the fact that Mubashir was going to be in Pakistan in a week or two. He also said that he supports Pakistani actors working in Bollywood (which was obvious from how he was trying to get Mubashir to get into Bollywood lolol). At the end of the day, Mubashir said he and the Kapoors are now pretty cool.

What do you think of this adorable encounter? Let us know in the comments below. Okay byeee ~
