Aamir Liaquat, Tuba Aamir and Imaan Mazari in the same conversation can never be a good thing.
So as expected, there was a shit storm on social media following the Aurat March where people were outraged at some of the posters women held at the march.
Aamir Liaquat decided to give his very unnecessary two cents on the entire situation where he criticized and questioned the march.
In his video, he tells women that they cannot change the religion on their own whims. And similarly, they cannot change Pakistan or its laws with one march. He then makes a request to Prime Minister Imran Khan to look into who funded the march and what the agenda behind it was.
It was a March against women in Pakistan, it was a March against about the real issues women face in Pakistan, itvwas a #HateMarchhttps://t.co/t6xr6p743U pic.twitter.com/iWWWFtnfqF

First of all; there is a LITERAL manifesto the organizers for the march put out to explain the ‘agenda’ behind the Aurat March.
But anyway, people immediately schooled Aamir Liaquat and one of the people who called him out was Imaan Mazari who tried to troll him with a nice reminder of Aamir’s own past indiscretions.

Of course, Aamir immediately responded to her bait and snapped right back at Imaan by telling her that no one likes her; not even her mom, Imran Khan or the army… okay…
In came Aamir’s wife Tuba, like a panther, to side with her husband
She jumped into the conversation with her own opinions which, surprise surprise, mirrored those expressed by her beloved husband.
Azadi does not mean azadi from home, ethics, manners, customs and religion. Azadi should be from suppression, depression, non consensual wedding, dowry, harassment, inequality, etc. #AuratAzadiMarch2019 #InternationalWomansDay #WomenEmpowerment #RealAzadi

So Imaan Mazari went after Tuba as well, quoting her tweet and calling her a home-wrecker.
And umm… I take issue with that. While calling out Tuba is well warranted, blaming her for ‘breaking a home’ and ‘wrecking a marriage’ is just wrong. While her marriage to Aamir Liaquat has been quite controversial, we need to remember that there are two people who make a marriage.
Wrecked a marriage, broke a home & is now married to a known bigot & hate-preacher… and still has the audacity to talk about "azadi from home, ethics, manners, customs and religion". https://t.co/xlKS0fPXRH

Aamir Liaquat is a grown man capable of making his own decisions, Tuba did not entice him into marrying her he made that decision on his own.
And honestly, in terms of who the home-wrecker was, Tuba really didn’t wreck a home when her husband chose to “allegedly” leave his other family to make a new one with her. He was the one who broke his own home by marrying a second time.
Wow. The bride is so pretty! She definitely saw smth in the doctor that we all clearly and gladly missed🙊 #speechless #AamirLiaquat #valima pic.twitter.com/i5bO1zvAJp

Tuba, on the other hand, was a single woman, she did not know Aamir Liaquat’s first wife or his children personally for her to have any feelings for them. So her entering into a marriage with Aamir was just that for her; a marriage. She shouldn’t be held responsible for her husband who may or may not have made a conscious decision to overlook the feelings and consent of his first wife and children and enter into a marriage with another woman.
He wrecked his own first marriage and wrecked his own home, according to his daughter; not Tuba.
But giving into the same narrative of calling Tuba the ‘other woman’ and a ‘home-wrecker’ just shows Imaan’s own internalized misogyny of blaming a woman for a man’s alleged infidelity
Of course, Aamir Liaquat immediately responded to Imaan calling his wife a home-wrecker.

While he warned Imaan not to get ‘personal’ he did exactly that himself by subtly referring to Imaan as someone who loose morals. And praising his wife for being pious since she chose to marry the man she loved instead of having an adulterous relationship with him. Honestly, what a MESS.
