Mehwish Hayat called out the sexiest Asian women ranking
Quite a few posts have been shared about the so-called Sexiest Asian Women list that released a few days ago. Compiled by a UK based magazine and enlisted the sexiest Asian women of 2019, the list has featured Indian as well as Pakistani celebrities.
Pakistan’s top actresses Mahira Khan and Mehwish Hayat were ranked among sexiest Asian women in the list
But while people were congratulating Mehwish Hayat about being one of the sexiest Asian women, she had something different to say
She said that when she was in her younger years, a mention like this was huge for her. She then proceeded to say that while being attractive is something people strive for, she no longer enjoys this kind of attention.

Not only is Mehwish Hayat one of the top actresses of our generation, but she is also very vocal about important issues. The star took to Twitter to express her view on the whole situation. Her statement was focused on talent and individuality rather than arbitrary rankings based on looks. She proceeded to encourage her fans to judge people based on other attributes which are more significant.

Sadly there were some detractors who accused her of acting “thankless” or shunning the list only because she ranked lower than Mahira Khan

But safe to say Mehwish is above all this, and because she has advocated for focusing on people’s talents and abilities, here are a few of her accomplishments just from 2019:
- The actress received a Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, one of the highest honors one can get in Pakistan;
- She got herself registered as the most successful female actor on the Pakistani box office;
- She was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the Rights of the Girl Child by the Ministry of Human Rights for her activism.
