Khadim Rizvi's Twitter Account Got Suspended And Pakistanis Are Celebrating

By Fareeha Akhtar | 5 Nov, 2018

Khadim Rizvi and his followers wreaked havoc on the country and bought it to a standstill two days ago, over the Asia Bibi verdict.

Apart from being active on the streets, Khadim Rizvi was also very active on social media. His intellectual tweets also amazed quite a lot of people. However, everyone rallied together to get his Twitter account suspended because it was essentially hate speech.

Even government officials requested Twitter to suspend his account, but was turned down.

However in a pleasing turn on events, Twitter suspended his account

Consequently, the Twitterverse couldn’t help but celebrate.

It’s not much, but it’s still a win.

People sang praises for the Almighty.

And kept hoping that Rizvi’s hate speech would start erasing itself from all spheres of life.

Even the pessimists are happy

Some people thought it’d be funny to joke about Rizvi’s PR guy.

People also asked the government for a call to action

Overall, the happiness is palpable. And, perhaps, a bit too much.

Team work DOES make the dream work. Pat yourselves on the back, you guys
