Here's What Pakistanis Think About the Junaid Jamshed Incident

By Sarmad Amer | 27 Mar, 2016

It’s lawn season and Junaid Jamshed is in the news again. However, rather unfortunately, he isn’t the center of controversy because of his hypocrisy in words and action where he says something and has an extremely successful fashion empire to his name.

Everyone, by now, is aware of the incident that unfolded somewhere around midnight at Islamabad airport on March 26, 2016. So J. was beaten by some who also had choice words for him and his “slip up” that also went viral a while ago leading him to seek forgiveness from the qoum.

After that happened, the social as well as traditional media erupted into a furor with all and sundry talking, bashing, tweeting, Facebooking, Instagramming and vlogging about what happened.

Here’s a glimpse into what Pakistanis think about what happened with Junaid Jamshed:

1. This guy who questioned what scholars are preaching

2. This politician who wants “religious cleansing” within the country

3. This person who is just plain shocked

4. And this one who can’t believe airport security was nowhere

5. This guy sees the irony in the situation

6. And this one sees that the future may be very dark

7. Someone please give this girl a J. kurta

8. This guy wants Junaid Jamshed to move on

9. This person has a bit of pent up anger against Junaid Jamshed

10. This one was musing about how things could be different

11. This guy speaks to our hearts

12. And this one really makes a point

13. Looks like this one needs to catch up with the world

14. And this one is on a completely different plane

You do you, bro.

15. While this one says it like it is… *drops mic*

For those who still don’t know what happened, here’s a look at the terribly unfortunate incident:
