Taher Shah is a farishta for giving Pakistanis a welcome distraction in this lockdown
Taher Shah released his new banger ‘Farishta’ last night after a long wait by fans. The song was supposed to be released earlier in the month but it was postponed, this upset a lot of people who had been waiting for a while. Taher Shah first came to the scene with his song ‘Eye to Eye’ in 2013, which was an instant hit. His second song ‘Angel’ was also very popular when it came out in 2016.
After a four year gap Taher Shah released his new song so of course people are very excited
After the song came out, though, people complained that this was just the song ‘Angel’ translated into Urdu. But honestly, who are we to complain when Taher Shah is here to distract us from the morbidity of the world right now.

Even with this criticism, Taher Shah is ruling the trends on Pakistani social media since the release of his song. As always, the video of the song is incredible; this time he took things a step further and used an animation. Maybe that’s his “social distancing” way of keeping safe while making his new music video.
