What started off as an unconfirmed rumor, based off a simple photograph of alleged wedding invitations is now an official truth: Hamza Ali Abbasi is all set to marry Naimal Khawar in a small ceremony on the 25th of August.
The ever-opinionated Hamza Ali Abbasi took to Facebook to confirm the news, stating that he initially wished to speak up after the 25th of August.
In the lengthy Facebook post, Hamza touched upon various things, including the nature of his relationship with Naimal, and how the proposal ended up taking place.
Hamza’s post mostly talks about his connection with the Almighty and his pursuit of guidance. However, one part of the post talks specifically about Naimal.
He states that he had a hard time forming an emotional connection with the opposite gender. However, he eventually asked his “platonic friend Naimal” to marry him to strengthen his belief, and she agreed. Now, he claims, they’re inseparable.
“Some people get married for themselves because either they fall in love or because their lonely or maybe because of family or to have kids,” Hamza states. “These are also good reasons, but believe me when your sole reason is to please Allah then Allah makes a man like me, who could never sustain anything emotional with the opposite gender, could never comprehend the idea of marriage in his head, Allah makes that man go up to his very platonic friend for 2 years, Naimal, and tell her that he doesn’t want a relationship (that GF/BF nonsense,) neither is he claiming to be in love with her, but he wants to marry her with the intention of strengthening his very turbulent efforts to walk a path which pleases Allah, and to my surprise she agrees not just to marry me but also expresses her joy in walking this path with me & now we can’t even breathe without each other.”
Hamza also confirms that the nikkah will take place on the 25th of August and the walima will be on the 26th. He then states that he looks forward to a lifetime of happiness with Naimal.
