Fawad Chaudhry just went after Usman Buzdar and other provincial leaders
Punjab Police has always been notorious for it’s extra-judicial actions with suspects and its historical inadequacy in making citizens actually feel safe because of it. With the recent incident of a viral ATM thief being found dead in the custody of Punjab Police, its credibility is being called into question yet again.
People have been angry at Punjab Police after what happened to the viral ATM thief because they blame them for his death
A Question to this system a man brutally killed is mentally ill or police have no sense,?
Police reforms are mandatory otherwise we will be killed by this system bcz this gives protocol to Corruption Mafiya and kill the innocent people, #PoliceBrutality#Salahuddin pic.twitter.com/4syuJytKqm

Punjab police is expert in every crime. Murders, encounters, robbery, bribe, smuggling, drug trafficking harassment and many more crimes they are involved in. They are a bunch of goons and this force needs to be demolished completely #PoliceBrutality

They’ve also asked for Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar to resign for his inability to reign in this important institution
@ImranKhanPTI should sack Usman Buzdar because he failed to bring the necessary reform the institution. Strong action should be taken against those police officers who are responsible for the murder of Salahuddin Ayubi.

Usman buzdar should resign immediately. He is a failure itself , he has failed to reform police. Police is here to falicitate people not to kill people.
He has not committed such a big crime that he got killed by Punjab police #PoliceBrutality

And now Fawad Chaudhry seems to have gone after Usman Buzdar for this incident
Fawad Chaudhry, Minister for Science and Technology, went after provincial governments, accusing them of turning a blind eye toward such incidents. He said it is the responsibility of provincial governments to make sure incidents like these don’t happen and people’s rights are not violated so mercilessly.

Many people called him out because he, too, is part of the elected Government after all and the same party as the Punjab Chief Minister

Even PTI supporters think that if their elected representatives have been unable to ensure safety of citizens then blaming past governments for their inability is not something they should be trumpeting
As a PTI supporter and Voter its biggest disappointment as Punjab Police is treating with crime guys. Where are the reforms hai koi punjab police ko saza dayne wala https://t.co/TorfbXELqo

Fawad Sir I am a great supporter of PTI but if cannot do anything about all this being in the government then why should we blame others ??? https://t.co/h24tiLolR5

Fawad Chaudhry’s comments are right and brutal but at the same time he is part of the same Government. Wouldn’t it be more prudent if he was making these statements with a proposed solution to the predicament that the Punjab Chief Minister seems to be in with his inability to reform the puranay Pakistan ke trained Punjab Police?
Here’s hoping that these grand standing statements can one day turn into actual action.
