Shoaib Mansoor is working his magic again with Dua-e-Reem.

Women’s day is being celebrated all around the world today. And similarly, celebrations in Pakistan are in full steam as well.

Dua-e-Reem, a new song starring Mahira Khan and directed by Shoaib Mansoor only adds to the celebration of the importance of women in Pakistan

Sohaib Mansoor has been teasing fans about the very special project lately and people are eager to know what it’s about. Well, you’re about to find out! The talented filmmaker has directed the beautiful music video for the song Dua-e-Reem which stars Pakistan’s favorite leading lady Mahira Khan.

Set in a beautiful rustic Haveli setting, Dua-e-Reem takes us on a journey of the past and present. The 8 minute video shows us of a past where women are told to be quiet and roll with whatever life throws there way to the present where women are told they do not have to put up with any injustice, but hopefully it will never come their way.

Dua-e-Reem translates to the prayer of a woman; something intrinsically powerful

It can change lives and fate for all of those around. Which is what the message is about; while a woman should know she is strong enough to face any adversity, one should hope nothing bad befalls her.

The video is beautifully shot in an old Haveli with the characters adorning beautiful clothing and showing traditional Pakistan but also a Pakistan where both men and women are equal in the household.

The music coupled with the video is beautiful to hear and a perfect companion to the breath taking visuals

As always, Mahira Khan looks lovely in the role she has adopted for this video. Honestly, the video is beautiful to watch and one would not get tired of it even if it were on repeat.
