Bodmon Zaid and her family are pretty badass!
Quite a few Pakistanis living overseas have found a lot of success on YouTube. Their content engages both, people within Pakistan and those who have settled in various countries around the world but still very much have Pakistani roots. Sham Idrees, Zaid Ali T, and various other YouTubers have made a name for themselves in recent years.
YouTube and Instagram star Laiba Zaid is my obsession
She started making videos in 2013. Laiba Zaid aka Bodmon Zaid initially started an Instagram page dedicated to health and fitness.
Many in Pakistan found out about her when she came to Pakistan and caused a mini-stampede in Emporium Mall in Lahore because of the huge crowds for her meet-up
Today she has over 600k subscribers on her YouTube and over 1.4 million followers on Instagram
She started gaining traction quickly and a few short months later, began her YouTube journey. Her YouTube channel also has a lot of fitness related videos, but she has since branched out to beauty tutorials, vlogging, and general YouTube challenge videos.
Not only is Laiba absolutely GORGEOUS
She can rock her desi looks like a pro
And like many YouTuber’s Laiba has since then been approached by brands and companies for collaborations. But instead of just taking herself to new heights of fame, Laiba has made sure that she brings her entire family along, because, her entire family is an Instagram star! Even her dog, Cheddar.
So my obsession over Laiba extends to her adorably beautiful family, too
Her mother, known as ‘Momma Zaid’
Momma Zaid is Laiba’s mom. She isn’t your typical desi aunty who moved abroad, she has over 400,000 followers on Instagram. And she is just as awesome as her daughter, she does fitness classes with Laiba which people can sign up for and pay. Momma Zaid recently launched her own YouTube channel as well.
Her father, Papa Zaid who is the cutest Pakistani uncle on Instagram
Papa Zaid is not as active on social media as the rest of the family, but he has a decent following too. He has over 20,000 followers and posts a lot of wholesome content, a lot of which is him basically promoting what his children and wife are up to.
Usama Zaid, Laiba’s brother
Usama is Laiba’s older brother. He is a jeweler and has a store in Toronto, and you best believe the entire family promotes the heck out of his work. Even Usama has a steady following of over 17,000 on his social media. He regularly appears in Laiba’s videos. And even has his own YouTube channel with his wife, Sana Zaid.
Her other brother, Uzair Zaid
Uzair is Laiba’s younger brother. Unlike his siblings, Uzair does not use Instagram as much but he still has over 20,000 followers. He appears in Laiba’s videos quite a bit but does not have his own channel on YouTube yet.
Her sister-in-law Sana Zaid
Sana Zaid is the newest addition to the Zaid clan. She married Laiba’s older brother Usama and is already becoming very popular. Laiba has featured her in some videos and Sana has a big social media following herself with over 50,000 followers. Sana is a professional make up artist and has a YouTube channel which she runs with her husband.
And the favoritest family member of all, Cheddar Zaid
Cheddar is the beloved family pet. He is an adorable chocolate colored dog who is doted on by thousands of people. He has his own Instagram account with over 10,000 followers. People clearly love him.
