These Indian actresses are supporting Rabi Pirzada in a… unique way
About a week ago, the controversy surrounding the Pakistani singer Rabi Pirzada took the internet by the storm. Intimate videos and photos of her were leaked and spread over various social media platforms.
The leak was rumored to be initiated by a vengeful ex-boyfriend and a lot of people had their two cents to share on the situation.
News of her leaving showbiz and rumors of her attempting suicide started circulating
Soon enough, people started talking about how Rabi had allegedly committed suicide because of all the bad press. And then the singer herself announced her departure from the industry.

And then, the #IAmRabiPirzada Movement started
In order to sympathize with the singer, many women took to social media to post their own censored nude photos with the hashtag #IAmRabiPirzada. The aim was to normalize bare bodies and to take away from the humiliation that the singer had to face. However, the public did not take well to it and it was met with a lot of criticism and mockery.

Now, in a completely unexpected move, Indian actresses have allegedly joined the movement as well…though it seems a little hard to believe

At this point, it’s all pretty confusing, since this entire situation has gone in countless different directions. Is this movement the right way to show support?
On one hand, sure – normalizing bare bodies makes sense, given that the hypersexualization of the same contributes to various problems that exist in our society. However, given this particular situation, where Rabi herself has now quit showbiz and probably wants to move past this, it may not be the solution, or anywhere close to the answer.
