Zindagi Gulzar Hai is a drama serial not only praised locally but applauded across the border as well. It was a heart-warming love story that portrayed the class-ism of Pakistani society and the struggles of women being the sole bread winners of a deprived house hold in our society.
Sanam Saeed and Fawad Afzal Khan’s flawless acting and the powerful dialogues of this drama brought even more life to the overall story.
Here’s a snippet from Kashaf’s diary from episode 20 that she wrote as an answer to Zaroon when he asked her whether she’s going to miss him:
Kashaf being the shy and unexpressive girl couldn’t tell Zaroon her true feelings to his face, but deep down Zaroon knew that Kashaf has also come to deeply care for him.
Kashaf spilled her heart’s deepest sentiments in her diary by writing this love letter to Zaroon.
Mein miss karoongi? Miss tou shaid ek chota lafz hai inn ehsaasaat k liye jo mai tumhare liye rakhne lagi hoon aur ab mai apne aap se darnay lagi hoon.
Kissi se muhabbat insaan ko bohat kamzor kar deti hai, bohat bebas, majboor, mahkoom aur mujhe inn teenon cheezon se nafrat hai. Lekin uske bawajood tum meri zindagi ka markaz bante jaa rahe ho.
Tum mujhse puchte ho kay mujhe tumhari kia baat achi lagti hai? Mein tumse ye kaisay kahoon ke mujhe tumhari kaunsi baat achi nahi lagti?
Apne ird gird tumhara ghoomna, mere wajood se na hatnay waali tumhari gehri bolti nazrein, tumhari har waqt ki tawajja, tumhari jaan chidaknay wala har andaaz. Har baar jab tum mere maa baap k liye ehteraam mein khade hotay hoo tou mein tumhare saamne jhukne lagti hoon. Aur kia kuch nahi jo mujhe tumhare saamne moom nahi karta.
Tum mujhe sangemarmar samjhte ho, tou samajhte raho, mein tumhaare saamne reth ki deewar nahi ban sakti, mujhe toot jaanay se khof aata hai.
These words really are a true reflection of how grateful Kashaf was for the unconditional love Zaroon had for her and the respect with which he not only treated her parents but her as well by making sure she never feels conscious of where she came from because of him.
Makes you wish for someone to love you like that too, right?
