Mawra Hocane graduated last night in London at the famous Barbican Centre along with singer Uzair Jaswal with a degree in Bachelor of Laws (LLB). The convocation was attended by her parents, and an emotional Mawra took to social media to celebrate the milestone and posted a number of photos of her receiving her degree.
Mawra said how proud she was and didn’t think she would ever “graduate alongside [her] career” and kept thanking everyone with the hashtags #LLB and #UniversityOfLondon.
The actress was high on emotions and posted a picture with her parents to thank them for their endless support.
While the degree IS REAL, trolls decided to comment on various posts of the convocation pictures, denouncing it as fake…

Actual footage of me right now at this very instance:

Alright, so let me explain how these degrees work – it’s pretty simple: you don’t physically have to be IN London to obtain a ‘University Of London’ degree.
The ‘University Of London’ has affiliated itself with many colleges in Pakistan whereby you don’t have to physically be present in London; you can study from here through one of the colleges that are supported by their number of undergraduate programmes. The official website states that there are around “3000 students in Pakistan”

There are a number of degrees, including Mawra’s – Bachelor of Laws (LLB) that can be obtained by studying in Pakistan:

They’ve even mentioned how you can study in Pakistan:
It clearly states “you can take classes on a full or part-time basis at a local teaching centre in Pakistan” AND also says “as you don’t relocate to London, you will have lower tuition fees and living costs.” This explains how Mawra got her degree along with her acting career – she spent time studying alongside in Pakistan and graduated with a convocation in London.

So there you go, guys! IT’S NOT A FAKE DEGREE! CONGRATULATIONS MAWRA!
