Tehsin Sakina was born into a Punjab Sufi family and was trained by her grandfather Ustad Safdar Hussain who was a famous singer and music teacher.
Sakina also plays the guitar and the harmonium and started performing in 2003.

She has also been featured in Pakistans’ musical show, Folk Studio. Apart from this, she was also a judge on the All Pakistan Naat competition show, Ramadan Ki Shaan as well as playing a part in a number of musical reality shows in Pakistan.
Everything from Ghazals, Thumri, Khyal, Qawwali to Raags, Sufi Rock, Classical and Semi-classical music, Tehseen is well versed in multiple classes of music.
