Saif Ali Khan was trolled by Pakistani vlogger, Momin Saqib

A few years back, after the Pakistani team won a match in England, a young Pakistani man gave an emotional interview to GEO News, propelling him into virality. His one line was E V E R Y W H E R E: ‘Dil Ro Raha Hai Mera’.

The fan’s name is Momin Saqib, and since then he’s gone on to become a full-fledged vlogger and content creator on the internet.

Most of his vlogs revolve around the Pakistani cricket team, so it was a natural fit to see him at the Pakistan-India match yesterday.

While at Old Trafford, he made loads of videos, some with celebrities, including Momina Mustehsan.

Turned out Momina ka bhi dil ro raha tha.

Among the celebrities, there was Saif Ali Khan, who was sporting an Indian Jersey that read ‘Pataudi’ at the back.

Momin caught up with Saif Ali Khan and made a video while he was walking in.

Momin was shouting throughout the video and making strange references to Saif in the clip. He called him the Indian team’s ‘water boy’ and also repeatedly mentioned how, in films, he’s killed loads of Pakistani characters. At one point, Saqib gets right in Saif’s face while he continues with his statements.

Saif Ali Khan had just put his head down and walked away.

On a personal level, I disagree with this video being ‘funny’. I don’t see the humor in the video, or do I see why people are laughing. All I see is that a man shouting at someone else for absolutely no reason, other than the fact that he’s from a different country.

A lot of people supported Momin for this video.

While others called it a ‘Kamaal ki besti’.

But there was backlash too.

There were many people who didn’t appreciate his behavior.

It became more of a joke that looked bad on us.

Momin was called ‘classless’!

At the end of the day, this video reflects poorly on us!

Saif Ali Khan did not do anything to provoke this type of commentary. Yes, he did some films, but that’s his job, and it’s not like he came into the stadium bad-mouthing Pakistan. Saif Ali Khan showed class in the face of this video. Momin’s commentary was unnecessary, it was extra and it was uncalled for- it just seems like something he did purely for the views.

If you don’t like someone, you can just I G N O R E them, you really don’t need to shove a camera in their face and say rude things to them.
