We here in Pakistan are very used to seeing fashion shoots being plastered all over billboards as well as all over Instagram. There are some photoshoots that stand out from the rest and this shoot by Mohsin Naveed Ranjha is definitely one of those.

Mohsin Naveed Ranjha is one of those designers that always tries his best to be outside the box. 

He made his mark on the fashion industry after he styled Ranveer Singh for a ‘Filmfare’ cover shoot.

As the seasons changed, the designer brand launched its Spring Bridal Collection and had a unique photo shoot for it. 

Mohsin Naveed Ranjha and his team went to Sri Lanka, and shot at picturesque locations there.

The video for this shoot showcased some gorgeous locations, with equally beautiful bridals spinning all across the landscape. 

From breathtaking shots of tea fields..

To unbelievable nature shots. 

Then they went ahead and glammed up the natural backdrop with their bridal collection, and the results are jaw-dropping.

We spoke to Mohsin Naveed Ranjha and asked them why they chose Sri Lanka for their shoot. 

He talked about how he wanted to capture nature and the natural colors of the area. ‘We found a spot where we could capture the wide open sky also fitting in frame the plants, water and the amazing exterior of the building.’

‘The idea was to capture the bright colors right against the vintage dusty kind of background, and thankfully it was beautifully done.’

The juxtaposition of the crisp, clear skies with the luxurious bridal collection makes for a picture perfect moment. 

We also asked him about his inspiration behind the collection.

Mohsin responded by saying this, ‘We love drawing inspiration from our heritage, which has become our brand DNA now. From rich bright colors to signature motifs and material, we keep everything in accordance with our cultural ideas.’

This designer has proven himself to be a powerhouse in the Pakistani fashion world. With each new shoot and collection, we are seeing a new side of him and his brand.

This shoot is unique because of the contrast between the glitz and glam of the clothes and the natural beauty of the location itself.
