Indian politician, Navjot Singh Sidhu, (otherwise known as Sidhu Pa Ji) is in the spotlight once again. Two months after Sidhu attended PM Imran Khan’s oath-taking ceremony, he has sparked controversy once again by comparing Pakistan to South India and claiming that Pakistan has better travel experience.
When he first visited, not only was Sidhu reprimanded by Indians for attended the oath-taking ceremony, but he also received massive criticism for hugging Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Sidhu Pa Ji’s latest controversy took place while he was in Kasauli to participate in the 7th Khushwant Singh Literature Fest.
During a session on ‘Punjab, Punjabis, and Punjabiyat’, AAP MLA Kanwar Sandhu asked Sidhu about the cultural affinity between the two Punjabs to which he replied, “For me when I travel to the South, I can’t understand the language. Not that I don’t like the food, but I cannot have it for a long time, the culture is totally different. When I got to Pakistan, the language is the same, like you know, when you abuse in English 10 times, one abuse in Punjabi overpowers all.”

Pakistanis, on the other hand, thanked Sidhu for the compliments and want him to know he is always welcome in Pakistan
Others worried that his life may now be in danger
And some Pakistanis applauded his positive outlook towards Pakistan but thought Sidhu Pa Ji should be more respectful towards all of India
It seems like there’s no end to Sidhu’s love for Pakistan…I mean can you really blame him?
