Kanwal Aftab, the famous TikTok star, was recently targeted by a man from Lahore where he and his lawyer claimed that the man – who goes by the name of Shamsher Bhatti on TikTok – had gotten married to Kanwal in 2017 but she was not accepting the marriage anymore. He had claimed to file a case against Kanwal for 10 crores.

In a video that has gained more than 3 million views on TikTok since it was published on June 23, a lawyer who claimed to be representing Shamsher Bhatti said, “yeh hain Shamsher Bhatti, yeh TikTok star hain. Inho ne 2017 mein TikTok star Kanwal Aftab ke sath nikkah kiya tha jo ab iss baat se muqar rahi hain. Hum ne Kanwal Aftab ko aik adad legal notice aur 10 crore rupay harjanay ka dawwa kar diya hai“.

It’s important to notice the words “TikTok star Kanwal Aftab” were used to address the name of the woman by this lawyer in the viral video because this is exactly what’s going to play a major part in the story that follows. Hang in there!
MangoBaaz approached Kanwal Aftab, the TikTok star multiple times, before the original story was published but she did not respond to a request for comment till the time that original post was published. She did respond after the publication and said the claim by the man was false.
Interestingly, on June 25 Shamsher Bhatti released a video saying that the Kanwal Aftab he was referring to in his video wasn’t the TikTok star
He has now stated that the TikTok star Kanwal Aftab is NOT his wife. He said he was married to someone named Kanwal Aftab Khan who is now settled in Dubai with her family. He also revealed that he and his alleged wife’s parents have reached a compromise and that they would be getting married soon.

But wait, didn’t the lawyer say Shamsher’s wife was “TikTok star Kanwal Aftab”? Sounds weird that they would say that, no? Told ya, this phrase was going to play an important role in the story that unfolds.
Anyway, Shamsher has stated that he respects the famous TikTok celeb Kanwal and he is also a big fan of her work
He also mentioned that he also respects Zulqarnain, a colleague of Kanwal’s who is also a TikTok star.

Shamsher’s lawyer also stated that there has been some confusion due to similar names and his client is being wrongly linked to the TikTok star Kanwal Aftab
The lawyer stated that clarification has been made and people should stop spreading false rumors.
But lawyer bhai jaan weren’t you the one to “wrongly link” him by referring to his alleged wife as “TikTok star Kanwal Aftab” and not “Kanwal Aftab Khan”? Hmmm…. we wonder why they failed to mention this full name of the alleged wife in their original viral video? 🤔🤔🤔

Since the lawyer was clearly heard calling Shamsher’s wife by the name “TikTok star Kanwal Aftab” in their original allegation video, we decided to check if this Kanwal Aftab Khan is really a “TikTok star” as per their claims or not
Upon searching for the name “Kanwal Aftab Khan” on TikTok in Pakistan one is presented the list of profiles as shown in the image below. The first five profiles in the list appear to be imitations or fan pages of Kanwal Aftab, the famous TikTok star. The sixth profile is that of someone named Kanwal Aftab Khan so of course we had to check who this woman is, who is allegedly Shamsher’s wife and also a TikTok star that we don’t know about, as Shamsher’s lawyer can be heard clearly saying in their original video.
Upon further investigation, the only TikTok profile under the name of Kanwal Aftab Khan is… blank
Why, then, would Shamsher’s lawyer say that Shamsher was married in 2017 to “TikTok star Kanwal Aftab” and then later clarify that said TikTok star is actually Kanwal Aftab Khan but then there is no trace of any Kanwal Aftab Khan who is also a TikTok star as per their claim? Aakhir ye maajra kiya hai?
Guess we can give them the benefit of the doubt that in his previous videos, while naming his wife, Shamsher Bhatti and his lawyer have used the name “Tik Tok star Kanwal Aftab” and not “Kanwal Aftab Khan” by accident. Or were there any covert intentions behind saying the alleged wife’s name the way they did?

So, this is where the matter stands now. Do you really think that this was a publicity stunt by Shamsher or were he and his lawyer also suffering from some kind of “slip of tongue” that some famous people have suffered from recently? Also, if he was not married to the TikTok star Kanwal Aftab then why did he mention that his wife was a TikTok star even though there is no famous TikTok account which is named as ‘Kanwal Aftab Khan’ as claimed by Shamsher?
Lots of questions and not a lot of clarity. Guess we’ll wait and watch for more updates on this matter if any of the parties involved choose to clarify.
