While Pakistani culture has miraculously become more accepting of dating, there are a few stunts in its growth, in this case, the stunt being actor Shaan Shahid. Singer Asim Azhar and actress Hania Aamir might be more than just friends, and although neither has denied the claims, they’ve been very open about how they feel about one another. The two celebrities have not deterred away from displaying their adoration and affection for one another on social media, and while we’re thrilled for the little birds, actor Shaan threw some MAJOR shade at their relationship.
In a recent interview with ‘BBC Asian Network,’ Asim complimented Hania for bringing positivity and growth to his life.
The singer was asked if he’s in a relationship with Hania, and said how he’s not in a position to answer that “frankly.” He said that it’s “a lot of fun being around her” and went on to express “how nice it is to have someone be genuinely supporting” of him. When asked about the “dating culture,” Asim said that he would “want her consent” when asked about their “equation,” not because of “any social pressure.” Asim was glad that Pakistan was transitioning into a “progressive society.”

Actor Shaan (rather randomly) responded to BBC Asian Network’s tweet with this quote:
“Seek respect, not attention. It lasts longer.”

Okay, Shaan…

The actor elaborated his quote when questioned, and said that Asim should not be discussing such a personal matter “on a public forum.”
Never brother I don’t need to …it’s just that it’s very personal to be discussing it on a public forum.. respect for your loved one comes first .. that’s all

This was awfully random of the actor, and many felt that what he did was a wee bit out of line.

Many felt Shaan was poking his nose in places he shouldn’t be.

What do you think about Shaan’s shade? Was it warranted?
