Saboor Aly was in the news for her statement related to her mockery of a window cleaner, who turned out to be the Assistant Director on set. The actress has faced a massive backlash after her comments and since then, people were urging her to apologize. Previously, Saboor responded by making a statement in her defense but people were not really convinced. Now, finally, the actress has addressed the matter again.
The actress started off her apology by stating that no one has ever become smaller by extending an apology
She said that she had to bring the affected person on the screen to share their story. Moreover, she explained that this whole mess has definitely impacted the Assistant Director, Ehsan Sheikh, and this has made her feel sorry for him. She wholeheartedly made a public apology to him and explained that her comments came off as insensitive without context.
She also went on to apologize to the people who have been hurt and upset by her actions
She said that she shouldn’t have cracked this kind of a joke under any circumstance. Furthermore, she mentioned that life is a learning process and she has learned from her own mistakes.
The entire apology stated the following:
“No one has ever become smaller by rendering an apology – I had to bring Ehsaan Bhai on the screen to share our story so we did. If there was anyone who could have felt bad after the whole fiasco, [it] would have been Ehsaan bhai and therefore I had to start by being sorry to him. Secondly, all the people who felt hurt, upset or angry were rightful & I wanted to apologize to them for a joke I shouldn’t have cracked under any circumstance. Life is a learning curve and I learned through my own experience.”
Ehsan Shiekh also talked about this and clarified that they have a very friendly atmosphere on set and this is why they all share a very cordial bond.
He explained that everything said by Saboor was just a joke and things have been blown out of proportion and have been perceived negatively by many. He said that they all are together and will remain together in the coming times too.
