Rishi Kapoor Just Tried To Cash In On ‘Prime Minister' Imran Khan's Speech

By Arslan Athar | 26 Jul, 2018

So, Imran Khan has pretty much won the elections and is en route to becoming the next Prime Minister of Pakistan. The to-be PM just gave a captivating victory speech on national television and Pakistan is still reeling from it.

Before Pakistan could get over that speech, a voice from across the border gave their appreciation in an interesting way.

Rishi Kapoor tweeted out to Imran Khan.. but it isn’t that simple. While congratulating Khan, Rishi Kapoor also sort of promoted his upcoming film, ‘Mulk’. Promotion ho tou aisay?

Rishi Kapoor was corrected.

People just called out his shameless plug

Of course, there were some pretty angry/ intense comments there too

Pessimists landed on the thread also

What I love most about this tweet is the ‘kabhi kabhi’ part. Sometimes the man doesn’t screw up.

This is actually pretty cute

How is it that our celebrities are always called into politics?

Pakistanis generally tweeted out positively

However, people just couldn’t get over how relentless Rishi Kapoor is with his promotions

Generally, there were loads of tweets hoping for a better, more peaceful future

This person clearly thought really far ahead 😛

It’s hilarious that he took Imran Khan’s speech as an opportunity, but then again, maybe it’s just really smart! What do you think? Let us know in the comments!
