So, Imran Khan has pretty much won the elections and is en route to becoming the next Prime Minister of Pakistan. The to-be PM just gave a captivating victory speech on national television and Pakistan is still reeling from it.
Before Pakistan could get over that speech, a voice from across the border gave their appreciation in an interesting way.
Rishi Kapoor tweeted out to Imran Khan.. but it isn’t that simple. While congratulating Khan, Rishi Kapoor also sort of promoted his upcoming film, ‘Mulk’. Promotion ho tou aisay?
Well spoken Imran Khan. I have been saying whatever you said on all channels past two days regarding India-Pakistan! I hope you succeed in making your “Mulk” have good relations with my “Mulk” pic.twitter.com/YCe741vW22

Rishi Kapoor was corrected.
'Mulk' unka hai. Hamara 'Desh' hai.
— Nimesh Kumar (@nimesh4you) July 26, 2018
People just called out his shameless plug
Another chance to promote "Mulk"
— Rajni patil 💥 (@indian_patil) July 26, 2018
Of course, there were some pretty angry/ intense comments there too
Opportunist bollytards….agar inko paisa mile toh ye apna jaayi, majhab , dharm , mulk bhi bech dein…
— Prashant Kumar (@PplAgnstCrption) July 26, 2018
Pessimists landed on the thread also

What I love most about this tweet is the ‘kabhi kabhi’ part. Sometimes the man doesn’t screw up.

— shoaib (@shoaibowsky) July 26, 2018
Pakistanis generally tweeted out positively
Most of us Pakistani don't want war. We want to live in peace with our Indian fellows. Hindu-Muslim just personal beliefs, don't have to fight on them. Islam. Preaches love and so does Hinduism and other religions.. ❤️
— Wazir E Azam Imran Khan (@BillioPhile22) July 26, 2018
However, people just couldn’t get over how relentless Rishi Kapoor is with his promotions
Sir you never shy off promoting your movies…Good one..

It’s hilarious that he took Imran Khan’s speech as an opportunity, but then again, maybe it’s just really smart! What do you think? Let us know in the comments!
