Just ssssssttttopppppp.

Earlier this week, BBC correspondent John Simpson held an interview with Prime Minister Imran Khan.

And though most of the interview went well and shed light on important topics such as militant groups in the nation as well as touching on the case of Asia Bibi, the part that garnered the most attention was a clip of the interview, right at the end.

At the end of the interview, Simpson stated that he was told that the Officer following behind Imran was in possession of his briefcase, that held the codes to Pakistan’s nuclear weapons.

As you can imagine, this caused quite a bit of chaos on social media.

People were amused as well as terrified that such an important secret was revealed globally.

Even though, it was obviously not likely that the actual codes to our nuclear weapons were just put into a suitcase and then talked about on a major news network.

People didn’t really believe it and one person specifically had something to say about it. Yep. That’s right,

Reham Khan dissed Imran Khan and the BBC for suggesting that the codes were even trusted to Imran in the first place.

She couldn’t help herself, could she?

And as you may have guessed, she almost immediately got hate for it.

Now, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but like damn. Sneeze without consent? That’s a little harsh, completely irrelevant and just weird.

Of course, she wasn’t the only one to criticize. Enter Shireen Mazari!

Yup.

Mazari has never been known to keep her opinions to herself however to be fair, she did actually make some sense. There is a reason why it is illegal to scream ‘fire’ in a crowded place. Spreading information and supposedly very sensitive information like that is a recipe for disaster and public alarm.

Not only are you bringing attention to the briefcase but an even higher threat alert to the Prime Minister as well as his security team, whether the codes are actually on him or not.

Regardless of briefcase-gate, the interview itself did well and day by day, it seems as though Imran’s public speaking and interview skills have been improving for the better. Let’s just hope that this will continue through the course of Khan’s Prime Minister-ship.

Have you seen Reham’s remarks? Shireen’s? Let us know what you think in the comments below! Love you.
