There is some real shade being thrown Prime Minister Imran Khan’s way and the one throwing shade is none other than his ex-wife, Reham Khan. In this particular instance, Imran Khan is being called out by many Pakistanis over the fact that he allegedly only paid around Rs 100,000 in taxes back in 2017.
As this information began to get shared by Pakistanis, it picked up momentum, enough to the extent where dawn.com published an article going into detail about the taxes paid by certain Pakistani Government employees in 2017.
Numerous people have spoken up about the fact that Imran Khan supposedly has a lot of money and owns a lot of property, but the amount of tax he is paying is not enough.
#IK should be hired by the rich as a Tax Avoidance Adviser
Lives in a villa spread over 50 acres
Bulletproof SUVs
Air travels
A luxurious life
But
Knows how to avoid paying tax
Pays what a junior government official pays

One Twitter user goes into details with a screenshot of taxes from 2016.

Not to play the Devil’s Advocate, because if this is at all true it is really wrong for someone that leads the country to do, but this looks like a simple spreadsheet that anyone can make. However, even if this is even remotely true, then we all deserve answers.
Amidst all this entered Reham Khan. And she found the perfect opportunity to throw some shade.
Firstly, she decided to quote the tweet that was making rounds to point out that Imran Khan was allegedly paying less than her while she was his wife.
He was paying less than me while I was his wife?? Single parent 3 kids.
Like how?? https://t.co/8dQy4KfKCc— Reham Khan (@RehamKhan1) February 23, 2019
She then subtly slid in a tweet about accountability.
There must be tax reforms in which landowners & property owners & those with a lifestyle which does not match their earnings be held accountable. Single parents & widows show get a tax break.
— Reham Khan (@RehamKhan1) February 23, 2019
Reham called for tax reforms in which people whose lifestyle doesn’t match their income must be held accountable. She also hoped that single parents and widows would get a tax break.
There’s something off about having a lot of property and being able to pay bills on said property and paying for other luxuries, but not paying a large amount of taxes. In many cases, it honestly does not add up. Again, these facts should be validated before any assumptions were thrown out to the public in the first place.
She capped it off by – well – praising herself, I guess?
There are some like myself who pay tax on income in both Pakistan & UK.

However, the shade didn’t end there. She went on to retweet some people’s concerns around the topic as well.
For instance, she retweeted a tweet that she’d already quoted.
Miss na hojaye kisi se.
She also retweeted another tweet calling out Imran Khan.
Just like any other time Reham Khan has spoken up about an issue she thought was being mishandled, she was trolled – this time was no different. And as Reham-like it is of her to call out Imran Khan, the fact is that it’s still a genuine question many are asking.
However, people turned the question around on her.

Other than her book?
There were some comments that crossed a line – which is honestly disgusting.

Basically, she was attacked in return.

Even for being divorced.
How about a woman divorced twice and getting huge moneys from their 2xEX.

However, surprisingly, some people actually agreed too.
