It is common to witness political chaos as elections approach in a country. However, with the caretaker government being appointed lately, PTI has made sure to come under the public eye for making a series of hasty decisions followed by subsequent U-turns.
For instance, PTI’s induction of Farooq Bandial into the party didn’t sit well with Pakistanis. An uproar led to his immediate expulsion.
Farooq Bandial had initially been given a death sentence in 1979 for raping the renowned actress Shabnam at her residence. Later, he was reportedly ‘pardoned’ by Zia-Ul-Haque. Upon announcing him as a party member right before elections, PTI faced severe backlash on social media. This caused them to expel Bandial in a matter of hours.
Farooq Bandials entry into PTI was unfortunate. He has been expelled from the party with immediate effect. We have no place for people with such record in our party. He should not even be in any political party.

Next, Dost Muhammad Khosa was also allegedly chosen as a party member. However, he was replaced by his father Zulfiqar Khosa.
There was talk about Dost Muhammad Khosa being inducted into the party alongside Zulfiqar Khosa. However, PTI officials denied his inclusion, stating that he was not included due to the allegations against him. His father, Zulfiqar Khosa is now an official member of PTI.
Moreover, Orya Maqbool Jan was apparently one of the suggested names as caretaker CM of Punjab by PTI. However, the official list did not include his name.
Orya Maqbool Jan has always been called out for his misogynistic views. There was a social media uproar around this as well. However, PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry tweeted an updated list, claiming that Jan’s name was a result of a ‘communication gap’ between party leaders.

These consecutive U-turns have frustrated many Pakistanis over the course of a few days. People are taking to social media to voice their concerns and frustrations.
For instance, some people started sending reminders to PTI about the candidates they wanted to induct.
