Sharman Joshi apparently went to IBA Karachi if the internet is to be believed.
Last night as I was scrolling through my Twitter timeline I saw a peculiar tweet stating that Sharman Joshi of ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Rang De Basanti‘ fame was an alumnus of our very own IBA in Karachi. I was shocked. How could this be possible?
Guys I just read that Sharman Joshi studied from IBA, Karachi!!! The famous RAJU RASTOGI!!

Not that IBA isn’t a great school but I have never heard of an Indian student coming to study at a Pakistani university. I don’t even want to think about what the visa process for that must be like.
A lot of people seemed to be convinced and believed that Sharman was indeed an IBA alumnus.
Lmao Sharman Joshi really studied at IBA. What the hell

A quick search on the internet at first confirmed the news. Wikipedia as well as a few other Indian celebrity gossip sites confirmed that Sharman Joshi had an MBA from IBA.
At first, I almost believed it but then I remembered how angry my professors would get if someone cited information from Wikipedia because well, it isn’t a reliable source. And the shoddy India celebrity gossip websites didn’t look credible either.
So I decided to find interviews that Sharman had given which talked about his college life. I found interviews where he talked about getting into acting while he was in college and that is where his career as an actor really took off. In fact, he doesn’t even mention post-grad or an MBA degree. But had stated that he would have either been a lawyer or a businessman had acting not worked out.
You would think if Sharman had gone to IBA in Karachi, he would have talked somewhere about his youth spent in Karachi. But nope, and it’s probably because he isn’t an alumnus.
I even checked IBA’s prominent alumni list, all 103 of them and he wasn’t there.
Not to mention, that I couldn’t find his profile in the alumni directory either. So possibly, Sharman Joshi never went to IBA but honestly, if he had, it would have been pretty cool.
I mean had he been an IBA alumnus, his support of the Pakistani actor ban in Bollywood would have hurt ten times more.
What do you think about the possibility of Sharman Joshi being an IBA alumnus? Let us know in the comments.
