By Maryam Khalid | 8 Aug, 2020

As soon as people got to know that the duo shot a music video inside a mosque, they started to bash them heavily

They reasoned that a mosque is a holy place, so no one should be allowed to dance or play music.

People even demanded the government take serious action against them

The Masjid authorities were also ridiculed for permitting such an offense in the premises

A document was being shared on social media that permitted the crew to shoot the video

The bashing became so intense that Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed became top trends in Pakistan

Saba Qamar took to her Instagram to respond to all the criticism regarding her new music video

She posted a teaser of her upcoming video while explaining what actually went down.

Presenting the first teaser of ‘Qubool’🙏🏽 This is also the only sequence that was shot at the historical Wazir Khan Mosque. It’s a prologue to the music video featuring a Nikah scene. It was neither shot with any sort of playback music nor has it been edited to the music track. I won’t explain any further as the full video comes out on 11th of August. The BTS video that's making rounds on social media was just a circular movement to click stills for the poster of ‘Qubool’ depicting a happily married couple right after their Nikah. Hurting or offending anyone or being disrespectful to a holy place is as unimaginable and unacceptable for me as for any decent human being. Despite this if we have unknowingly hurt anyone’s sentiments we apologise to you all with all our heart. Love & Peace! #Qubool releasing on 11th of August 🙏❤️ @bilalsaeed_music

Saba explained that the nikkah sequence did not feature any sort of music and neither was it edited with any music

Even in the teaser, we can see that the music starts afterward. Saba also went on to explain that the BTS twirl video that’s circulating on the internet was just an attempt to capture the perfect shot for the poster of the video. So, this explains the fact that there was no music or even dancing involved.

Saba further goes on that being a decent human being, she has never wanted to disrespect a holy place or offend anyone’s religious sentiments. She is still ready to apologize if she has hurt anyone unintentionally.

Saba also said that we have to wait around for the entire video to come before we jump to any conclusions.

Bilal Saeed also posted the same teaser on his Instagram and explained it in detail for the people offended

He also said that the Nikkah sequence was the introductory part, shot without any playback music. The administration of Masjid Wazir Khan was also present and they are a witness that nothing offensive happened there.

Bilal further says that being Muslims, they cannot even think to disrespect a holy place.
