“Parwaaz Hai Junoon” has been making waves since we heard first about it, many months ago. The cast has also been giving us glimpses into the film’s behind the scenes
But we’ve also gotten the first looks for Hamza Ali Abbasi
Flight Lieutenant Saad aka Ahad Raza Mir
Sania aka Hania Aamir
And Squadron Leader Nadir Kirmani played by Shaz Khan
But now we have the first teaser for the film and we see a closer, moving picture for the film
We see Hamza Ali Abbasi getting into his plane in a shot we’ve seen before in other films, with the officer walking like a stud on the runway with his aviators and all
We also get to see some targets being shot down
And Shaz Khan aka Squadron Leader Nadir Kirmani going BOOM!
Hamza and Shaz are being playful with each other doing tricks on their plane, keeping it light in times of apparent chaos
But then we see them get out after a successful mission and they look quite happy
We see all the officers gather around with the Pakistani flag and THAT’S the point where you realise ‘oh bhens yeh tau mulq bacha ker farigh hoye hain’
And you instantly get a pang of emotion in your heart when you see everyone who has just risked their lives to make the country a little safer in the face of enemies. And then you start feeling that much more patriotic
And then we see the ending salute
Yess, the teaser is sprinkled with periods of monotony that we have seen before, whether in Hollywood or Bollywood. There are shots we have seen before. And we have seen films about our armed forces, too, coming from the country, the likes of “Yalghaar” and “Waar” and “O21” (but nobody ever really watched “O21” so we’re okay). But this is the first time that we’re seeing a film about the Pakistani Air Force. We’re already all set and patriotic, and come Eid Ul Fitr we will find out what the film is like, too!
