10 year challenge shows that a decade can really change a lot
Social media challenges have come and gone in the past, some good
Some bad,
Good move, but it could be better: YouTube, please forbid ANY kind of silly viral prank, please 😜. "YouTube’s guidelines now address dangerous pranks following Bird Box, Tide Pod challenges" https://t.co/HzmgWw69o6 pic.twitter.com/WJ1rcujHYh

Very, very bad.
And some that honestly, will forever be known as an anomaly.
However now, it seems that the social media world has been taken up by another challenge, one that covers an entire decade.
People all over the world are sharing epic glow ups by taking on the viral, ’10 year challenge.’

And when we say epic, we mean EPIC.
The 10-year challenge, also known as the trend that started on Twitter
It initially stemmed from the hashtag, ‘How Hard Did Aging Hit You,’ began as what can only be described as a frenzy of photos on the Internet of how hard puberty hit individuals all across the world. In most cases, leading to major upgrades, according to those who posted.
It is also being theorized that the trend started thanks to Facebook’s ‘then and now’ profile pictures, showing people how different or the same they may look from the past compared to now. According to a tweet in a Wired article,
Me 10 years ago: probably would have played along with the profile picture aging meme going around on Facebook and Instagram
Me now: ponders how all this data could be mined to train facial recognition algorithms on age progression and age recognition— Kate O'Neill (@kateo) January 12, 2019
This seems much more potentially dangerous than we think. Continue the thread to read about what Facebook could really be up to.
However, we do know that there is a fun side of the challenge,
And since Pakistanis are not the kind of people to say no to showing off (joke thaaaaa), the trend picked up all over Pakistan as well.
