Bechara Junaid Khan dropped from World Cup Squad yet again
Pakistan’s World Cup squad for this year has seen a lot of last minute changes and exclusions to various reasons, and one of the players to face the exclusion was none other than the fast bowler, Junaid Khan.
PCB selected Wahab Ria and dropped Junaid Khan from the squad so to express his rage, Junaid turned to Twitter and spilled his disappointment.
In the picture, he had his lips covered with a black tape, and stated that he doesn’t want to say anything regarding the unfair exclusion that he has faced.
Even though he deleted the tweet shortly after being posted, it caught the attention of many who rallied in support for him.
The selection of Riaz also has eyebrows as he hasn’t played international cricket in almost two years – the last of his ODI appearance being against India in the Champions Trophy held in England on June 4, 2017.

▪ 2011: Was in the WC squad, but didn't get a game..
▪ 2015: Was in the WC squad, but was ruled out before the start due to an injury…

The entire exclusion appears to be very strange for Junaid who hasn’t gotten a chance to play a single World Cup despite being in 3 squads.
Strange fact:
Junaid Khan is the only cricketer in the history to be selected in 3 different World cup squads but still fail to play a single World Cup match pic.twitter.com/Zn8fyrR5Pm

People are just so disappointed over the unfair treatment that Junaid has been facing since forever.
They are treating a man so heartlessly, who made us won series against India after ages who made us win series against Africa in Africa who preferred his national team over foreign team although was called by best side, who always tolerated their unjust behaviour #JunaidKhan pic.twitter.com/mKSLYzQ26Q

And they think that it’s a loss for the team to keep one of the best bowlers out of the WC squad
As a Cricket Fan feel bad for him, Pakistan Cricket team struggling to take wickets in England and they are keeping their best bowler at home, So sad for Juni #JunaidKhan pic.twitter.com/3OaKh110rV

People are now suggesting that he should just retire in protest because PCB has been incredibly unfair to him
Lol Inzi has gone bonkers. Replacing Junaid Khan after just one bad game with Wahab Riaz. Junaid Khan should just announce retirement. Height of unfairness with the guy.

There are just a lot of questions about it all…
Uneducated selection from the Cheap selector of PCB.@Inzamam08 how can you pick inexperienced hassnain over experienced junaid?? How can you pick wahab who hasn’t played odi cricket for so long and also been smashed for 100+ runs in odi in England “the no ball expert” #JunaidKhan pic.twitter.com/E9IeyLpgkm

And the jabs at the parchi system continue…
This happens when u have no parchi to get selected. No merit at all in PCB#JunaidKhan pic.twitter.com/IlfjLHJncg

All in all, people are demanding for some justice to be served to Junaid, whose exclusion has come as a blow for all fans, and the squad itself. It’s just disheartening to see one of the very top players being dropped out from the biggest tournaments in the cricketing world, and at this point, we all just hope that Pakistan gets to perform well one way or the other – making up for the loss.
