Pakistan Day, also called the Republic Day, commemorates the Lahore Resolution of 1940 when the then Prime Minister of Bengal A.K. Fazlul Haq formally announced the All-India Muslim League’s demand for ‘independent states’ for Muslims of India. It also marks the day Pakistan adopted it’s first Constitution in 1956.
While celebrated as a national holiday and cherished all over the country for a much needed mid week lazy day, not many know the reverence this day holds because virtually no one today has struggled as or ancestors.
So, to test how much you really know about your country’s history there is a scavenger hunt happening this Pakistan Day
In Karachi and Lahore, organized by the App-based Chauffeur Driven Car Service Careem, you can compete in a hunt around town to race against other enthusiastic residents of your city to see who really knows their city like the back of their hands.
