Nora Fatehi brought Saki Saki back with her new song and it could be the new Dilbar Dilbar.
Nowadays, if you need a bomb ass item number to be performed, you go to Nora Fatehi. Not only can homegirl dance – because, let’s face it, she’s got some sick moves – but she also throws in some fire gymnastic moves that are nothing less than a workout.
Now, let’s talk about the old Saaki Saaki, a super-hit banger from Musafir.
The 2004 Sanjay Dutt-Koena Mitra starring song was catchy, upbeat and even the lyrics slapped hard. Cut to 2019, where item song queen Nora Fatehi is taking on the hit song for the upcoming film, Batla House, and is putting her own spin on it. Fair warning: it’s HOT. Not in an objectification wala way, but there’s just generally a lot of usage of fire in the song.
The song starts with a ~fire~ intro.
Heh, Get it?
And Nora does some fancy fire-swinging moves.
Girl’s got mad skills – I’ll just put that out there.
I will also point out that this song looks like a proper workout.
Also the main step – the saki saki step – believe me when I tell you that I was SHOOK
That requires some major core strength – I stan Nora after this with all my heart
I still can’t wrap my head around how crazy the step is.
The song oscillates between crazy acrobatic moves and fire-dancing…
…and Nora being an overall queen.
While the song itself doesn’t sound as great as the original one – the chorus is fine, but the overall song is a bit meh – the video is definitely up there with Dilbar Dilbar. The Koena Mitra version, I suppose, has its own place in terms of being iconic, but Nora’s version follows close behind.
Here’s the song: See for yourself.
Could this be the new Dilbar Dilbar? Has Nora Fatehi outdone herself with Saki Saki? Let me know in the comments.
