Veteran Nadia Jamil slams Samina Peerzada’s show for working with ‘Fair And Lovely.’

Samina Peerzada’s show ‘Rewind With Samina’ has raised questions around the host’s contentious statements, from her remarks about therapy to her most recent presumption about the kind of Pakistanis who fall into drugs.

The show is sponsored by the controversial skin-whitening brand, ‘Fair & Lovely,’ and Samina’s most recent guest, Nadia Jamil criticized in a Facebook post.

The actress said “I have a deep respect for Samina Peerzada and I love her a lot” but wished to “publically distance [herself] from the heinously racist and demoralizing brand ‘Fair & Lovely.”

Nadia pleaded that she was not aware that the show, which she had already recorded, was sponsored by the whitening brand.

“A woman’s dark skin is her beauty,” said Nadia; She slammed the brand and said, “stop telling us and making money off brainwashing the planet as to what our standard for beauty needs to be.”
