Mufti Muneeb Lost His Shit On Live TV And Twitter Couldn't Handle It

By Haadia Paracha | 6 Jul, 2016

Everyone knows how Mufti Muneeb is more of an Eid ka chaand than the chaand itself, right? The man shows his face twice, annually and he plays an intense game of hide and seek with the Shawwal moon, every single year.

SO THIS HAPPENED.

THEN SHIT GOT WAY TOO REAL.

Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Mufti Muneeb-Ur-Rehman lost his cool on live television after getting wind of TV channels announcing the moon-sighting in various parts of the country without confirmation. Exerting his authority, Mufti sahab yanked the telephone set, disconnecting the chords and smashed it aggressively.

This phadda on the #MoonSighting telecast was a subject of amusement for many. Here are a few highlights:

A clear lack of sportsmanship by Mufti Muneeb, it seems.

You won’t like it when Mufti Muneeb is angry.

Science v. religion

Meanwhile, somewhere in jahannum.

Mad problem solving skills.

A sorry state of affairs.

Eid ka asal chaand.

“PTCL CARES”

Ramazan se subki bus hogayi hay ab.

For Mufti sahab, with love.

Some important questions.

Well, shit.

Plot twist.

All due respect.

Amidst all of this, we were missing Maulana Popalzai

But, all’s well that ends well, right?

Eid Mubarak to Mufti sahab and all of you chaands.
