When you think of Pakistan, the first thing that doesn’t necessarily come to mind is beauty pageants. Not that there’s any dearth of beautiful people in Pakistan, just no culture for it. Unlike our neighboring country India, we do not have a bevy of women who have won Miss World or Miss Universe titles respectively because women from Pakistan do not compete in the pageants altogether.
But Anzhelika Tahir, or better known as Miss Pakistan is about to change that
In 2016, Anzhelika represented Pakistan in the Miss Earth pageant in the Phillipines. And following that she has been hoisting Pakistan’s flag at several places and is currently in Poland representing Pakistan at the Miss Supranational pageant.
Earlier this year, she starred alongside Mikaal Zulfiqar in a Pakistani movie called ‘Na Band Na Baraati‘.
Anzhelika grew up in Ukraine and was one of the rare Pakistanis there and hence felt different because of her brown skin. But as she grew older she travelled the world and connected with more Pakistanis so she could be more connected to her Pakistani culture.
Right now in Poland, she’s representing the country beautifully. In every sense of the word.
And clearly, people adore Anzhelika and how she’s representing our country internationally.
Clearly Anzhelika has a lot of wishes of good luck and prayers on her side. Cleary, she knows she’s a star and isn’t afraid to flaunt her beauty.
We have high hopes from Anzhelika and clearly we aren’t the only ones. Let’s hope she wins big in the Supranational Pageant in Poland. Because she clearly deserves it.
