So, we might be in for a new Bollywood couple (I am internally SCREAMING), and I have never been more ready. #DeepVeer is done and dusted (I adore them, but the excitement around their relationship hit a plateau after their shaadi), and this latest couple could fill my growing appetite for another Bollywood duo to lush after. Indian publications have been reporting a growing closeness between actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal and my goodness do I hope this is true.
Let’s give ourselves a quick timeline of the two actors, shall we? So it all began when Katrina mentioned how she really wanted to work with Vicky when she was a guest on Koffee With Karan.
This delightful little piece of news was picked up by Indian media with tongues wagging about the brilliant possibility of the two. Filmfare, Times Of India and NDTV were just a dollop of all the publications who were rooting for a budding friendship between the two, in particular after Vicky jokingly fainted on set after hearing this. Various sources divulged that the two had become very close friends after that.
The two also hit it OFF on Anupama Chopra’s YouTube channel ‘Film Companion.’ Their chemistry was the definition of fire – have a watch below:
Everyone in the comments section went WILD over their interaction, with many gushing over how Vicky kept smiling and adoringly reacted to Katrina as she spoke; “it’s like watching two people slowly falling for each other. What a great feeling to watch these two 😍😍 thank you TapeCast! And let them know what we feel about them and make them date already 😂😂.”
Vicky also confirmed that he was single in a recent interview with HT, saying he was “ek dum single,” spurring rumors that he was moving on with, perhaps Katrina?
Vicky was dating actress Harleen Sethi, however, had admitted that he was now single (the two have reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram – how millennial lol). Oh, and he also admitted to having a crush on Katrina on Koffee With Karan. According to Bollywood Hungama, Vicky and Katrina might be signing a film together soon too (please let this happen ASAP).
