For some reason, several people are unaware of the scenic and beautiful places situated in Islamabad. In fact, Islamabad was also ranked as the 2nd most beautiful capital in the world. Here are a few breathtaking sites from Islamabad that everyone in the world needs to go see.  Below are some of the most breathtaking places that are a must-see.

1. Faisal mosque

Let’s start with the most iconic place in Islamabad, Faisal Mosque. Situated at the foot of the Margalla Hills and on an elevated area, this beautiful mosque is the largest one in Pakistan.


2. Monal

This is one of the very few posh restaurants in the world that’s located on such a high altitude. Monal a great place to go with family or friends and enjoy the refreshing view of Islambad.


3. Daman-e-koh

Located between the Margalla Hills at an elevation below Monal, Daman-e-Koh is famous for its lush green parks with hotels and many refreshing points.


4. Saidpur village

5. Pakistan monument

This national monument represents Pakistan’s four provinces and three territories. The four main petals of the monument represent the four provinces and the three smaller petals represent the territories. The beautifully carved petals have been designed to reflect the culture and civilizations that have existed in Pakistan.


6. Rawal Lake

Rawal Lake is an artificial reservoir that provides the water needs for Rawalpindi and Islamabad. It’s also a famous tourist destination with activities such as boating, sailing, water skating and diving.


7. Lake View Park

This wildlife park is  right next to Rawal dam. The park ends at the lake, hence, the name “Lake View Park.”


8. Lok Virsa Museum

The finest cultural museum in Pakistan, Lok Virsa displays the cultural heritage of Pakistanis.
