Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain are about to star in a drama together.
If there’s one couple that knows how to stay in the news, it’s this one. As people still debate over Iqra Aziz, Yasir Hussain, and their proposal, it looks like the two lovebirds are moving upwards and onwards in life.
Fresh out of the announcement of their engagement – an elaborate affair that took the Pakistani world by storm, leading to memes, vemes, jokes, and comments galore – the couple is now all set to spice things up in their upcoming drama, Jhooti.
The initial news around the drama – that will air on ARY Digital – was that Iqra Aziz will be starring opposite Ahmed Ali Butt and they’d be playing a married couple.
However, now, reports claim that Yasir Hussain has been added to the Jhooti roster.
Reportedly, he will have a much more significant role than Ahmed Ali Butt, who will allegedly only be seen in the first few episodes, in the capacity of a supporting character.
As far as the show goes, the premise sounds fun. The show will revolve around the titular “jhooti,” played by Iqra Aziz, and it’ll give the audience an insight as to the impact her compulsive lies have on her life.
The shooting process for the show has reportedly just begun and audiences will be able to watch it tentatively by the end of this year, or beginning of next year.
It’ll definitely be an interesting show to keep up with, given that we know the couple is engaged and their chemistry hasn’t really been explored on-screen.
While we’re all still probably in love with Jiya and Arsal, perhaps it’s time for this off-screen couple to wow us on-screen and win our hearts. Again, we do need more clarity in terms of Yasir’s role, but here’s hoping it’s closely associated with Iqra’s.
